The weekend was definitely too short. The church picnic was good - praise God for holding up with the rain until everything was over. There was about 180-200 people attending the picnic which was more than expected. Though some came and stop by or hung out until lunch time..... it was a beautiful day with practically no humidity or heat. It was quite refreshing and comfortable. Some of us hung by the lake and splashing water (kids!?).... otherwise, it was a good day to fellowship. Afterward, I hung out with mom and sis in Flushing - the brigade never stopped by since my cousin was having something at his home with the kiddies. That's all right. Needed to rest up.
Sunday went to service, but kind of lost the message the guest speaker was preaching. He preached on the apostle Peter, but he kept jumping around the points like a frog. I can tell some of the congregation was hung on a fishing pole. The worship team just skipped saying any after remarks on the message. Afterward, I roamed around Chinatown taking care of tasks.... until about time to head to Bayside for the baby shower. That went well too, but being surrounded by babies was the central attention. I haven't seen little Joyce & Isabel feel so excited. Both were very good - didn't cry when people tried to carry them. So cute to see the little ones growing up ....
Short work week, but will need to accomplish month end entries. SO, will end here and ramble later. Will post photos later today.
